Linux

Linux is free, in so many shapes and sizes. Setting up an operating system of this nature can be difficult, but you can make it easy, and there is a lot of help across the Internet for you to ask questions to. When it doubt, Google your question, and see what answers come up for you. Ubuntu, Fedora, openSUSE, Debian, Linux Mint, PCLinuxOS, Sabayon, etc.

Windows

Windows is not open source, but if you do have a license, it's very easy to set up something like WAMP.

Apache

Apache is a free application to run a web server.

MySQL

MySQL is an open source database that enables you to have control of the information cross-referenced and access control is available through the use of simple commands and PHP.

PHP

PHP is the resource to lookup source code, install PHP, and view other information about this awesome language.

Web Design
